How our guides are written
DPPLive publishes free guides on the EU Digital Product Passport for garment factories. This page says who writes them, what they rely on, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Who writes them
The guides are written and maintained by the DPPLive Team in Dhaka. Pages carry the byline “DPPLive Team” and the date of the last substantive update.
Sources
Statements about EU law are checked against the text published in the Official Journal of the European Union on EUR-Lex, for example Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 (ESPR). Where a page cites an article, the article number refers to that published text. Other sources we use are European Commission pages, standards bodies such as CEN/CENELEC and GS1, and official Bangladeshi sources for local context.
Much of the textile Digital Product Passport is not decided yet: the delegated act for textiles has not been adopted. Where a guide describes what is expected rather than what is already law, it says so.
Dates
“Last updated” changes when the meaning of a page changes — a new rule, a corrected fact, a new section. It does not change for layout or spelling fixes.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, email [email protected] with the page and the passage. We check it against the source, correct the page if needed, and update its date.
Guides and our product
DPPLive sells Digital Product Passport software. The guides explain the rules whether or not you use it; where our product is relevant, the page says so plainly.
Not legal advice
The guides explain the regulation in plain language. They are not legal advice for a specific product or contract; for that, ask a qualified adviser.
