Do I Need GS1 Membership (or a GTIN) for a DPP?
Strictly: the ESPR requires a persistent unique product identifier compliant with recognised standards — naming the ISO/IEC 15459 family GS1's GTIN belongs to, making the GTIN one accepted identifier, not the only one. Practically: global apparel retail already runs on GTINs and GS1 Digital Link QR codes, so for a garment exporter the realistic answer is yes — get GTINs from your national GS1 organisation and let your DPP platform build the rest of the identifier stack around them.

One Membership, Every Market
A GS1 prefix is the cheapest piece of compliance infrastructure a factory will ever buy: the same GTINs serve barcodes today, DPP QR codes tomorrow and every retailer in between. Get the prefix; we operate the rest of the stack.
